WSPIR is being imagined and created by three people whose lives have brought them to this vision from very different paths.
Heather is the dreamer and founder behind WSPIR, inspired by a profound experience in the rainforest of Costa Rica and a growing belief that we can create a different relationship with the land, with one another, and with what we call abundance.
Gerald grew up farming and hunting, learning from an early age the rhythms and realities of working with the land. His experience brings a perspective shaped by a community connected to farming and a deep understanding that food and community are inseparable from the land that sustains them.
Taryn brings the heart of community to WSPIR. A natural organizer, connector, and helper, she will turn ideas into action while nurturing the spiritual and human connections that we want at the center of the Perma sanctuary.

We don't have all the answers—and that's intentional. We believe the best version of WSPIR will emerge through listening, learning, and bringing many people into the process of creating it.

We will be transparent about how resources are used, communicate honestly about our progress and challenges, and remain accountable to the people who choose to support this vision.
As the Permasanctuary grows, we will build a community of land stewards, educators, organizers, and community builders who share in its care and evolution. We believe responsible stewardship isn't just about how we manage resources—it's about honoring the trust, relationships, and shared vision that make this project possible.
